Responsible Handling

What we collect is sorted, not just dumped. Usable items go to local organizations like Goodwill, St. Vincent de Paul and Habitat for Humanity, and recyclable materials to facilities like BRING Recycling and Lane Forest Products — keeping as much as possible in use right here in Lane County.
Donate What’s Still Useful
Usable items are donated to local charities and organizations, giving them a chance to be useful to someone else.
Recycle What Can Be Recycled
Recyclable materials are sorted and taken to the appropriate recycling facilities instead of going straight to the landfill.
Handle What’s Left
Anything that can’t be donated or recycled is handled through proper disposal.
