Recycling & Donations

About 70% of What We Collect Is Put to New Use.

Donate. Recycle. Reuse.

We work with local charities, nonprofits, and recycling centers throughout the Eugene community to give usable items and materials another purpose.

Giving Back

Giving Back Starts With What We Collect.

Furniture can help a family furnish their home, building materials can support a new project, and working cell phones can provide emergency access for someone who needs it.

For us, responsible junk removal means looking at what we collect and asking what can happen next. Sometimes that’s a donation. Sometimes it’s recycling. Sometimes an item can directly support a local organization or community cause.

When you choose The Recyclers, you’re helping give those items another purpose and supporting the community along the way.

Our Local Partners

Where Your Items Can Go.

We sort through what we collect to find opportunities to donate, recycle, reuse, and support organizations doing good work in our community.

Donations

Giving Usable Items a Second Life

Items in good condition can be donated to organizations that can put them back into the community.

Goodwill

Usable household items and other goods can be donated to Goodwill to support its programs and give those items another purpose.

St. Vincent de Paul

Donated household goods can help support St. Vincent de Paul’s work in the community while keeping useful items in circulation.

Habitat for Humanity

Usable items and materials can support Habitat for Humanity’s housing and home improvement efforts.

Recycling

Keeping Materials in Use

We also work with local recycling facilities to keep recyclable materials moving through the waste stream and back into use.

BRING Recycling

Materials that can be recycled are taken to BRING Recycling for processing and reuse.

Lane Forest Products

Yard debris and other eligible materials can be taken to Lane Forest Products for processing and reuse.

Community

Supporting People and Local Causes

Some of our community partnerships go beyond traditional donations and recycling. We’ve also found ways to put what we collect toward causes that matter locally.

Hope & Safety Alliance

We donate cell phones to Hope & Safety Alliance (formerly Womenspace) that can provide emergency call access, giving old phones an important new purpose for people who need them.

Insta Ballet Eugene

We’ve supported Insta Ballet Eugene as part of our involvement with local organizations and programs.

Forest Camp Cleanup

We’ve helped local nonprofits with forest camp cleanup efforts, supporting organizations working to care for community spaces.

Young People Experiencing Homelessness

We support a local thrift store on River Road that helps young people experiencing homelessness. Donated items can be sold through the store to help fund resources and support for the teens and young adults they serve.

What We Can Take

If It Needs to Go, Ask Us.

From furniture and appliances to yard debris, electronics, and construction materials, we handle a wide range of unwanted items.

Not sure if we can take it? Ask us.
